Friday's farewells

This afternoon the school had a farewell assembly for us. The Mitcham students each spoke to the school and shared what they enjoyed about having a CBS billet. Then they invited their billets to the stage and presented them each with a lovely pen as a momento of their time here. The CBS students each spoke to the assembly sharing what they had enjoyed and thanking the school and their billets. (Parents, you would have been proud of your kids!!) 

In the evening the parents put on an amazing BBQ for us with delicious food and enjoyable company!

Thank you Mitcham staff, students and families for a great celebration of our time here. One more sleep and we will meet you at the airport ready to head home!

Monday at Mitcham

 We have been warmly welcomed to this lovely school! The day started with a welcome assembly. The children were then shown around the school by their billets before joining them in their classrooms.

We're blogging!

Today I enjoyed introducing our blog to the students who are going to Mitcham.  Just about everyone has a blog posted or one that is in progress that will be posted soon.  The first blog task was to post one good photo and one funny photo and then to write a post about themselves.  While we are on our trip, the students will be given blog challenges to complete.  We hope that we have a lot of people who read our blog and make comments regularly.  Don't forget that you can also sign up to 'follow by email', so that you will get emails each morning of our posts.  You can also read the posts of just certain bloggers, by clicking on the person's name in the list in the right column of our blog - then just the posts that they have labeled with their name will show up.
